ACUPRESSURE REFLEXOLOGY

Nature has designed our bodies with countless invisible energy points that allow the flow of prana (vital life force) in and out.

When this natural flow is blocked, it creates an imbalance — which shows up as pain or illness.

Acupressure therapy works by stimulating these points to remove blockages, restore energy flow, and naturally heal the affected area.

In India, acupressure is traditionally known as Marma Chikitsa, and over time, it has evolved into various sub-therapies, including:

- Reflexology
- Meridianology
- Scalp Therapy
- Auricle (Ear) Therapy
- Su-Jok Therapy

Reflexology – 39 Healing Points

Reflexology focuses on 39 specific points located on the palms and soles, each representing one of the body’s vital organs.

When an organ is under stress or not functioning normally, its corresponding point becomes tender. For example, a stomach disorder shows up as tenderness on Point No. 27.

By gently applying pressure to that tender point, energy (prana) begins to flow freely again — allowing the organ to recover, and over time, the tenderness disappears as healing completes.

How to Identify Treatment Points

Gently probe the palm and sole to find tender points.

Tender points reveal which organ is affected.

Treat these tender points daily until the tenderness fades — a sign that the organ has recovered.

How to Know When Healing Has Happened

Healing is confirmed when:

1. The tenderness at the point disappears, and
2. The patient experiences relief from their symptoms.

Tenderness acts as the real-time indicator of both illness and recovery.

How to Apply Pressure

Use your thumb, the blunt end of a pencil or pen, or a mushroom-shaped tool (called Jimmy) to apply pressure.

Apply firm, steady pressure on the exact point for 5 to 10 seconds.

If a point is not tender, move on to find the correct one.

Always observe the patient’s eyes while pressing — as even slight pain can cause blinking, helping you gauge the right pressure level.

For Points No. 10 to 16, which lie on soft and sensitive areas, use only your thumb (no tools) to avoid discomfort.
